Toyota Prius Plug -in to go on sale in July

Toyota have announced that the Plug-in range extender will cost £32,895 when it goes on sale in July. with the Government grant of £5000, this reduces to £27,895 making the Prius £5,000 cheaper than the Vauxhall Ampera

Auto Express adds “the Prius Plug-ins claimed 769 mile range outshines the Vauxhalls 360 mile figure as does its 90 minute charge time, compared to the Amperas 6 hours. in addition the Toyota claims 134.5 mpg fuel economy and emits 49 gm/km of CO2”
